EDDIE BINNIE is a professionally trained vocal coach, who has studied this discipline for a number of years. He qualified C T ABRSM in 2006, receiving special commendation.
Eddie has conducted choirs, singing groups and composed music for over 35 years, his eclectic taste in music covers many styles with a preference for Theatre, Ballads, Blues, improvisation and harmony.
Eddie teaches mainly from his studio at home, coaching students of all ages in Vocal Technique, Communication Skills, Sight-Singing, Harmony & Improvisation, Positive Mental Attitude, Development of Energy and Emotion in Performance.
He holds regular workshops in the Glasgow area, including a Gospel-style workshop at Celtic Connections in the Royal Concert Hall. His remit includes working with children in school choirs and assisting a local amateur theatre group with voice production. He has recently been accepted by the RSAMD to work with the YouthWorks project as a vocal tutor.
His most exciting venture to date is as founder and director of Vocal Starmaker, geared to enable students to achieve their goals and aspirations in the world of singing.
Eddie says, "I am always looking for opportunities to help people of all ages to achieve their musical dreams and build their self-esteem through singing. I feel that the results could be of particular significance to teenagers where they can extend their musical successes and confidence into the world at large."
